VISIONARY OCULAR SURFACE CLINIC

Advanced Diagnostics • Personalized Treatment

Dry Eye Disease (DED) is common and increasingly linked to digital device use, dry environments, underlying inflammation, allergies, medications, and genetics. A healthy tear film (oil • water • mucin) protects the eye; when this barrier is broken down the eye is exposed and symptoms can include dryness, grittiness, burning/stinging, light sensitivity, irritation, blurry fluctuating vision, significant glare, and watering.

At Visionary we have a specialty clinic just for patients who suffer from Ocular Surface and Dry Eye Disease.

We begin with booking an appointment for an Ocular Surface Diagnostic Assessment. Here we measure specific features of your eye, eyelid and tear gland structure and function to identify the underlying causes of your condition to build a tailored plan just for you!

Who can book: Current patients or self-referred individuals who have had a comprehensive eye exam within the last 12 months.

Your care team: Dr. Deanne Mayo, Optometrist along with a Licensed Registered Nurse & Canadian Ophthalmic Technician, specializing in dry eye diagnostics and treatment.

Clinic times: Wednesday & Thursday Mornings

Service cost: $110 for the diagnostic visit. Direct billing is not available. If treatments are recommended, we can provide pricing and a letter for you to request special coverage.
